Denial

The detective in charge of The Bears case watched the video of him in Wally World and brought me a copy of the receipts that The Bear signed.

The Bear didn't buy store supplies. He bought clothes, toiletries and a couple of music tapes.

After a night and a half a day's worry that he was kidnapped or something worse, it looks like he just up and left.

Taking his step-mom's credit card, the weekends deposit, and I think, my soul.

I guess that fairy-tale, dreams-come-true feeling was only meant as a temporary loan type thing, with the tearing apart of my life and the mutilation of my heart as payment.

I haven't been able to tell the kids. I just keep saying that we don't know where he is or what happened, and the sad thing is, I don't know where he is or what happened.
