Elevate Your Mind

The reading of Hp and TOotP is progressing (though not a rapidly as if I was reading to myself).

I am grateful that J.K. is giving us more of a glimpse into the adults lives when they were in school. I have to say that I'm not surprised by what's being revealed so far (pertaining to how the adults were as teenagers).

My son, who is 11 (12 on Monday) is all weirded out by Harry getting kissed. He was asking all kinds of questions about those scenes. I finally had to look at him and say, "Elevate your mind out of the gutter, please."

At which point he said rather too seriously, "I can't. I have no feet."

Children, gotta love 'em.

On a sad note, I think I know who's gonna die in this book. I kinda suspected from the begining. My son's not gonna take this bit very well. He was all kinds of upset when Cedric died. (He's really very sensitive and cried through the last few chapters of the Goblet of Fire. You know in that I'm-gonna-turn-my-head-so-that-you-don't-see-me-cry-therefore-I'm-not-REALLY-crying type of way)

Welp, that's it for now.
