Lucius in Tights

I think I have finally rested up from the festivities of the previous week. I guess the nice thing about celebrating a religious holy day AND a secular holiday are that the festivities last longer than one day, or in some cases, one morning.

The Bear, the kids and I went and saw the new Peter Pan movie on Christmas day. It was great! The story was a little darker than your normal retelling of the story and I think it was truer to the original telling. The subtlties of the tale were very well portrayed and was a wonder for all ages and minds, no matter the reason you watched it.

Not to mention that Jason Isaacs looked delicious with no shirt on, long curly locks and brandishing a sword! (It wasn't a riding crop, but hot damn.....)

The kids made out pretty good this year. The boy child got an air hockey table, a new bike, some CD's, a new gameboy game (Quidditch World Cup), a beyblades stadium, a Yugioh dice game, a few pieces of jewelry and of course, the new clothes.

The girl child got a new gameboy game, some socks with the toes in them (She loves them!), a lot of bath stuff (she's into that girly pampering stage), new clothes, and The Bear got her a jewelry box. When she opened it, she found a necklace already inside. Her first diamond.

The Bear got an espresso machine, a mustache and beard trimmer, clothes, an onyx and silver pentacle necklace, a plate for the front of his van that says "Lestat Lives", and some other odds and ends.

Me, I got a heart necklace, a plaque that says "Fairies Happen", two fairy figurines, some paisley tights that I just might have to wear for my wedding (!), the entire collection of "The Nightmare on Elm Street" DVDs - with the exception of Freddy Vs. Jason, and a few other odds and ends.

After the movie we had pumpkin pie and egg nog (The Bear's and mine being spiked). It was a very good day.

Then I had to go to bed. I had to open the store at 4 in the AM the next morning. Ah well..........

I had good dreams. Lucius in tights fencing with his wand..........
