Well, I took the kids and ran away today. Went and saw the movie Pirates of the Carribbian:Curse of the Black Pearl. OOOooo! Eye candy from Hell and a great story to boot. (pun intended)

First, I have to say that I LOVE sword fights. (There's just something about a man brandishing a long, hard impliment designed to impale it's intended target!) My favorite actor to watch wielding a weapon of steel is Michael Waincott, but that's another tale........

Second, I love Geoffry Rush. (Not an obsession like Alan is, but he could be........) He was an excellent bad guy in this one. (Course, he's always been a great bad guy!)

Johnny Depp. I can take him or leave him, depending on his role. The role he played in this one was awsome. He makes a devestating pirate. (And he wears his costume so well.....)

Orlando Bloom. My daughter likes him. He was her favorite character in The Lord of the Rings movies. Me, I never really like the straight up good guys very much, but he played his part very well.

I'm glad I talked the boy child into watching this instead of Terminator 3. This one is gonna be a keeper. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
